The fight had been set for a saturday at 8pm. Tiny had came over and taken some photos of Lisa in a sky blue bikini so that Vick could check them out. He also sent some to Vicki's boyfriend so that he could check out Lisa too. The days of training sped by and finally, the morning of fight day arrived.

Tiny had reserved a nice hotel room in one of the downtown hotels and we checked in around noon. We would be driven to the fight from there. Vicki and her boyfriend had come down to KC the day before and were staying at a different hotel, just to avoid any pre-fight chance encounters between the two girls.

We had been told to expect the "nail expert" around 2pm. Vick had hired two gay brothers that owned and operated their own hair and nail business. Tiny said these guys were experts and the only people that Vick trusted to affix the nails to the girls, as Vicki had agreed to the use of them as well. Right on time, there was a knock on the door and I let the dude in. We exchanged greetings and after a few minutes, he got right to work. His name was Fredo and he spoke with a strong latino accent. Lisa, being a girly girl, was excited about getting some new nails. And she was looking forward to using them on Vicki. Fredo worked quickly with minimal talking, but he was friendly and had a smile that reminded me of Paul Newman's. Which was ironic because I had the tv on AMC which was showing "Cool Hand Luke." I think I was more nervous than Lisa about the upcoming fight.

Fredo was done in about an hour. After he had pasted and secured the acrylic nails, he coated them with a red polish and a clear coat. Her nails looked better than the finish on a new corvette in the showroom. He also brought out a special file and filed down the edges until they were razor sharp. Fredo said these were special nails that could only be imported from France. He said they were 3x as strong as any brand of acrylic nail currently available in the states. At another hotel somewhere, his brother Dumas was getting Vicki set up with these acrylic razors.

I tried to tip Fredo when he left, but he said everything was taken care of. He did say to Lisa before he stepped out "put those to good use tonight."

The car and driver showed up right at 6pm and Lisa grabbed her bag and we set off. It was a new Lexus and the driver helped us into the back seat. Lisa didn't say much on the drive to Vick's house. She had her ipod with her and was listening to Pink's song "So What." We got to Vick's house in about 30 minutes and I was duly impressed. I think my whole house would have fit just into his garage.

Tiny was at the front door to greet us. He gave Lisa a peck on the cheek and slugged me on the shoulder. He then escorted us to our bedroom where Lisa could prepare for the fight. Lisa had worn a short business skirt, high heels and a white blouse to Vick's house. Vick wanted a brief pre-fight "meet and greet" with both girls present. This would give him and his pals a chance to check out the two women in person. The women would also be allowed to speak to each other as well. For this encounter, Vick had wanted the women dressed just as Lisa was. Tiny had been very specific about what the girls should wear. Vicki and her boyfriend had arrived 10 minutes before us and were waiting in their room.

After a short wait of about 10 minutes, one of Vick's pals knocked on the door. He greeted us and then said to Lisa, "let's go meet the boys."
